MCDONALD'S breakfast is the perfect go-to if you're craving a hash brown and an egg McMuffin to get you started for the day.

The McDonald's breakfast menu isn't available all day, so it's worth knowing what time you'll need to order by.

What time does McDonald's stop serving breakfast?

McDonald's serves breakfast every day until 11am.

The fast-food giant used to switch to the lunchtime menu at 10:30am, however, in 2019, bosses added an extra 30 minutes to the breakfast time.

Restaurants that are normally open 24 hours a day start serving breakfast from 5am.

Every other restaurant kicks off the day with the breakfast menu at their usual opening times.

You can find out where your nearest branch is and what time it opens using the store locator tool on the McDonald's website.

What's on the McDonald's breakfast menu?

You can also check out the breakfast menu on their site, which includes the McMuffin range, pancakes and a cheesy bacon flatbread.

You can still get all the old favourites like a sausage and egg McMuffin or a bacon roll.

Plus, the fast food giant has exclusively told The Sun that the popular Breakfast Wrap will once again be available on its breakfast menu from February 7.

And that's not all as you'll be happy to know you can now get your hands on a breakfast favourite for a lower price too.

The Sausage and Egg McMuffins have been reduced as part of a new deal to get fast food fans going in the morning.

Customers will now save up to £2.49 if they buy the brekkie item with a hot drink.

It rivals Greggs' cheapest breakfast meals which start at £2.85. McDonald's lovers can also opt to choose the Egg McMuffin as part of a deal.

It comes as the fast food chain has revealed its latest menu shake-up with a never-seen-before frappe.

How do I get McDonald's breakfast?

You can dine in at McDonald's restaurants during the breakfast opening times or if you're feeling sluggish and nursing a hang-over you have the option to deliver your favourite menu items straight to your door.

The My McDonald's app will also let you order before you get to the restaurant. And you can take your food away or use a drive-thru.

At the start of the pandemic, McDonald's introduced home delivery at hundreds more of its restaurants so you can get brekkie delivered directly to your door.

Orders can be made through Just Eat, Uber Eats or the McDonald's app but remember, you'll have to pay a fee for delivery.

How much this costs depends on how far from the restaurant you live, and there may be a minimum amount you have to order too.

Plus, be aware your local branch may not accept new orders at the busiest times.

Why doesn't McDonald's serve breakfast after 11am?

McDonald's stops breakfast and starts its normal menu at 11am each day.

Branches continue serving burgers, chicken nuggets and the rest of the normal menu right through until closing time, which will vary depending on your restaurant's opening times.

Food on the normal menu and breakfast menu can't be cooked at the same time.

Breakfast food is cooked slightly differently and at varying temperatures to burgers and fries and there's not enough space to do both menus at once in the kitchens.

McDonald's says on its website: "The 11am cut off enables us to accommodate our breakfast lovers, while allowing the customers who enjoy our main menu to get their food before 11:30am."
