THINGS are about to get very physical next month when two of the world’s strongest men collide.

It was confirmed this week that Eddie Hall, the 2017 World's Strongest Man winner, will face reigning champ Mitchell Hooper.

Hall is now a hugely-popular social media personality with over five million followers, while his rival only has 183,000 on Instagram so far.

But that could all change when he goes one-on-one with the Brit under MMA rules as part of a four-man tournament.

Hall has regularly trained for both boxing and MMA fights and last year he took on Game Of Thrones actor Hafthor Bjornsoon in a huge boxing match.

He lost that bout via unanimous decision, leaving him with 0-1 record, but now he will be hoping his huge 434lb frame can help him secure that first fighting victory.

However, he will face just as big a challenge against Hooper.

‘Moose’ will also be making his MMA debut, but unlike ‘The Beast’, he has no previous fighting experience to call on.

The 320lb Canadian star will also potentially face a huge disadvantage when it comes to weight.

But he will have been buoyed after footage emerged this week of Hall getting DROPPED with a brutal head kick in sparring for his MMA bow.

Both men have shown off their strength, with Hall’s personal best deadlift being 500kg compared to his rival’s PB of 475kg.

However, Hooper does hold a narrow advantage when it comes to height - and perhaps fitness due to his previous marathon runs before piling on the bulk.

The 6ft 3in Canadian is an inch taller than his opponent.

The pair will fight under the Finishers Championship promotion with Hall announcing that it will be in Qatar.

The Khalifa International Stadium - a 45,000-seat venue which hosted eight World Cup matches - will be the setting for the epic showdown.

Strongman Hooper declared exclusively to SunSport back in January 2023 that he wanted “to win it all” before the end of last year.

And after going on to do that, having also triumphed in the Arnold U.K. and the Giant's Live World Tour Finals, he is chasing another impressive accolade to add to his CV.
