HOME OWNERS on a Grand Designs spin off show have been ripped into for turning their property into an all-white home despite having a toddler.

The couple on Grand Designs Transformations spent £522,000 redesigning their family house in Sydney.

Nina and Trent filled the plush pad with bespoke marble furniture, including a handcrafted kitchen island and white coffee table.

But when show host Yasmine Ghoniem saw the living room she speculated that this would not be the best environment for their young boy to grow up in.

The white themed room boasts a creamy bouclé couch and bamboo silk rug, as well as marble furniture.

Yasmine thought the decor left the space feeling like an art gallery, doubting that little Harley would be able to play in it without leaving a mess behind.

She shared: "I’m just imagining Harley with spaghetti and grubby fingers."

The dad admitted the toddler had already damaged a rug by drawing on it.

He confessed: "We had a drawing on the rug incident with crayons.

"It really was a work of art, just in the wrong place."

But mum Nina insisted they have strict rules which would mean no further damage is done to the living room.

She added: "There are no liquids. Cheese and crackers [are] basically all that’s allowed in this room."

Viewers took to social media to blast the parents for their 'horrific' design, complaining that the rooms don't look comfortable enough for regular use.

One person hit out: "Grand Designs Transformations is Grand Disasters. People with $1m to spend on marble and zero imagination should be banned from renovating. Yikes."

Another agreed: "How they ruined something perfectly good. All that horrific, monolithic marble. And the unusable room…the couch didn’t even look comfy, just stylish."

A third snarked: "Try telling your guests you can’t take a glass of wine into the living room (including placing it on the marble coffee table), but cheese [and] crackers is fine. Eye roll."
