Who is Wendy Williams' first husband, Bert Girigorie?

Wendy Williams was married to Bert Girigorie before her marriage to her ex-husband Kevin Hunter.

According to Girigorie's Twitter profile, he is a "sales & marketing professional" based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

He lists his website as G2 Marketing Inc., a digital marketing agency for professionals.

Why did Wendy and Bert get divorced?

In a 2019 interview with RadarOnline, Girigorie said he was "at a loss" over the troubled host's bizarre behavior.

He said he was unaware of her alleged drug use but came to realize after they split that the addiction could have explained her behavior.

Girigorie said things started going strange right from the beginning of their marriage.

He said, “It was very bizarre. She just turned into a different person. I don’t know what was going on."

"I didn’t understand a lot of things that she did. I didn’t understand what her motivations were.”

Girigorie claimed the TV host's antics got out of hand until they "had a big blowout, and the relationship became very strained".

The marriage was a failure from the beginning, Girigorie suggested, adding they got off to a bad start shortly after exchanging vows.

He described Williams' bizarre behavior as flippant and said it could have been related to her alleged drug use.

Girigorie said about Williams, “I know she said she was doing drugs but she kept that away from me,”

“I assumed that she was but I didn’t know anything about it."

"I know I was seeing strange behavior and behavior that I didn’t understand when I look back at it.”

They separated after just five months after their marriage and officially divorced in 1995.

How many times has Wendy Wiliams been married?

Wendy has been married twice with both sadly ending in divorce.

Her first to Bert ended in 1995, but Wendy Williams went on to marry yet again to Kevin Hunter in 1999.

The two share a son together, Kevin Hunter Jr.

Their marriage came to an end in 2020 when Williams divorced Hunter after he allegedly had a child with another woman.

After Lifetime announced the documentary, Where Is Wendy Williams?, Hunter was reportedly disappointed with how Wendy will be portrayed.

But Wendy is thought to have dated a number of other famous faces during her illustrious career including Ray J.

When was Wendy Williams diagnosed with dementia and aphasia?

Wendy was diagnosed with the two tragic health issues last year, say her care team.

However they were kept hidden from the public until Thursday, 22, February, when her carers released a statement.

They said: "The conditions have already presented significant hurdles in Wendy's life.

"Wendy is still able to do many things for herself. Most importantly she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed."

The team say they released the shock news "to correct inaccurate and hurtful rumors about her health".

Frontotemporal dementia is a tragic illness that is currently incurable.

The brain disorder affects language and communication skills and gets worse overtime as it can't be treated with any traditional methods to slow down its progession.

Aphasia is a nervous system syndrome that also affects the body's ability to communicate.

Often people suffering from the horrible issue struggle to speak about their emotions and in some cases lose the ability to speak and write.

Hollywood icon Bruce Willis had to give up his career for the same medical issues.

Williams has dealt with a number of ongoing health issues in her life, including Graves' disease, lymphedema and alcohol abuse.
