BOYZONE singer Keith Duffy is "hopeful" he can work things out following a split with his wife Lisa Smith after 25 years of marriage.
The When the Going Gets Tough star, 49, is understood to have left their family home in Dublin just before Christmas.
But a source close to the couple revealed Keith is hoping they can still rekindle things.
They told The Irish Sun: “There is no one else involved.
“It is serious, but Keith is hopeful that they can sort this thing out. They care deeply for one another and their children.”

Keith and Lisa — who have kids Jay, 27, and Mia, 23 — have both unfollowed each other on social media.
Sources said Keith was in London tonight ahead of a Boyzlife tour with Brian McFadden.
Dubliner Keith and Lisa toasted their 25th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2023, with the couple then heading off on a dream trip to celebrate.
And a source said of the split: “It has come as a shock to everyone.
“Back in July, they appeared happier than ever while celebrating 25 years together on a trip of a lifetime to the French Riviera.”
They tied the knot in A Little White Chapel in Las Vegas just two days after Keith proposed in 1998.
Boyzone bandmate Ronan Keating acted as his best man.
On the day of their 25th wedding anniversary, Keith had paid a sweet tribute to Lisa, declaring: “We’ve had our ups and downs, our fair share of obstacles along the way but our love and friendship and desire, our fight for each other and we are still going.
“Happy anniversary Smithy, our silver wedding! All in the blink of an eye. Watching our children grow up with you has been the highlight of my life.
“Thank you for your unconditional love, support and understanding. I love you with all my heart.”

His last Instagram post with Lisa was a loved-up snap from their French holiday on July 14, 2023. He wrote: “Celebrating 25 years in style. The French Riviera doesn’t disappoint.”
Previously, Keith told The Irish Sun on Sunday in an exclusive interview how Lisa was “everything to me”.
'My best friend'
In a 2014 interview, he said of their relationship: “She is my best friend in the world, but, like any relationship, we have our ups and downs.
“We know the wrong buttons to press with one another. The rows aren’t gone. We still have some big rows but they are now few and far between. We understand each other a lot better now.”
And ex-Corrie star Keith, who met Lisa when he was just 21, previously revealed how she gave him the “right runaround” when they met.
She has been with him during his time performing alongside Ronan, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and the late Stephen Gately in Boyzone.
Last October, Keith revealed the band could get back together if a Sky TV series about them takes off.
Boyzone, who last split in 2019, hoped they could benefit from a similar surge in popularity to that enjoyed by Wham! after a recent Netflix special.
Keith told The Irish Sun on Sunday: “That Wham! doc was so huge. If George Michael was still alive, Wham! would’ve gone back out to do a few concerts. Maybe after this Boyzone documentary comes out, there’ll be an appetite for us to perform again.”
