Sablan was driving a gray Nissan Sentra on July 6, 2023, when he came across a young girl who was walking on the sidewalk.

He raised a black handgun to her and said, "If you don't get in the car with me, I am going to hurt you," according to an FBI Agent, per CBS News.

Sablan drove the girl from Texas to Long Beach, California, where she was rescued inside his car on July 9.

A passerby noticed the girl sitting inside the car holding up a handwritten "Help me!" sign in the window.

The passerby immediately called police where they arrested Sablan at the scene.

Sablan has been in custody since July 2023.

He was charged with kidnapping and transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Then, on Friday, Sablan admitted in a plea agreement that he sexually assaulted the victim while driving her from state to state, per a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Central District of California.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for October 25, 2024.

He will face anywhere from 20 years to life in federal prison.

The U.S. Sun also recently reported on new charges the accused Delphi killer, Richard Allen is facing.

The prosecution filed new felony charges as the Indiana Supreme Court heard arguments on Thursday regarding Allen's request to reinstate his original defense team.

He was previously charged in October 2022 on two counts of murder in connection to the deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German on the Monon High Bridge in February 2017.

Carroll County Prosecutor Nicholas McLeland argued that Allen kidnapped the girls before their murders, making him eligible to be charged with two counts of felony murder.

This means a murder was committed during the act of another crime.

Allen is now facing a total of four counts of murder and two counts of felony kidnapping.
