Beau Lamarre, a current police officer, was named a person of interest in the case after the investigators learned that he once dated Jesse Baird. Relatives have told the police that their break-up was "bitter." Officials are hoping to speak to the officer, but have been unable to locate him, and it is understood that Lamarre has taken sick leave this week.

Meanwhile, police have commented on the blood they found as evidence. At this stage, it is unknown who the blood belongs to, but cops believe the amount present on the belongings suggests at least one of the men experienced a "significant injury." A phone, keys and credit cards were also among possessions found in the same skip. It was 18 miles away from the popular TV star's home.

Police searched his home in Paddington and found blood-stained furniture and a 'large amount of blood'. There were also signs of struggle as furniture had been moved around. The sheer amount of blood led officcers to believe at least one party had been hurt significantly. Neighbours said they heard an argument from Baaird's home on Monday, but they did not report it to police until Wednesday.

Former colleagues have expressed their shock over Baird's disappearance. Stacey Thompson worked with Baird on children's show Totally Wild, and she has told DailyMail: "I'm shocked actually. I worked with Jesse for a few years and we sat across from one another in the TW office. He was a lovely work friend, always professional and keen to learn. I prefer not to comment further at this time, until more details come to light."

Qantas flight attendant Maddison Bradley has spoken to Daily Mail Australia about her best friend, Luke Davies. "I hope we find him. He is such a sweet soul," she said. "He is a fantastic person, so positive, bright and bubbly. We've been friends since 2017. We worked at Tigerair together and then he helped me get into Qantas."

She added, "He is an international flight attendant for Qantas and he is driven, humble and super intelligent."
