The ex-Strictly star and fashion guru - who was rushed to hospital last year - said she has been fitted with a hearing aid.

She told The Sun at a catwalk show hosted by Boots Hearingcare: "I’ve damaged my ears… I've got hearing aids. Can you see them? Can you f**! Aren’t they amazing?

"I started losing my hearing I realised in about 2019 and my children kept saying to me, 'oh mum you’re so deaf.'

"Then it transpires I’ve damaged my ears through probably too much loud music."

Spending years in noisy environments like production studios and live performances, Susannah realised something was wrong when she couldn't hear birds singing, a comforting sound she cherished in the countryside.

She explained: "The penny dropped when I realised I couldn’t differentiate between the different birds singing.

"I live in the countryside and it’s something I love to listen to, because I wake up in the morning, every morning, filled with anxiety, and I go outside and I listen to the bird song."

Susannah confessed to putting off her hearing issues and only went to get them checked out in recent months - but life swiftly improved when she did.

She said the treatment available nowadays is like something produced by Nasa.

"I just wish I’d gone to Boots Hearingcare years ago. If you can’t be bothered to travel to (Nasa station) Cape Canaveral, go to Boost hearing because it is like walking into Nasa."

Susannah spoke to The Sun at Aures London where she hosted a catwalk event starring Love Island alum Tasha Ghouri, 25, who is also the proud wearer of a cochlear implant.

Tasha dazzled the crowd in a pair of silver jeans and a denim corset at the event last night.

Their partnership with Boots Hearingcare comes a year after Susannah underwent emergency surgery as doctors warned her she was at risk of a devastating stroke.

The former How to Look Good Naked host was told immediate intervention was necessary to prevent paralysis, a brain hemorrhage, or a stroke due to an arteriovenous fistula, also known as an abnormal connection between an artery and a vein.

Initially, Susannah dismissed symptoms like pins and needles in her arm, but the condition led to bleeding into capillaries and affected her spinal cord and brain.

This put her at significant risk of serious complications during surgery.

As she shared her frightening experience, she praised the NHS and neurosurgeons for their exceptional care in hospital.

Susannah told The Sun: "I had this thing called an arterial fistula and I still don’t understand what it was, I was very lucky not to have a stroke or be paralysed.

"So I have a total clean bill of health now, thanks to the NHS and surgeons, they set me on the path to health.

Susannah also revealed a chance meeting with an old friend raised the alarm after she explained her symptoms to them.

She added: "It was so rare, and it’s weird because 30 years ago I helped set up this organisation for neurological charities with a guy and then I hadn’t seen or spoken to him for 30 years.

"Then I got back in touch with him, and thank God I did."
