Joel Williams, 28, first entered the Big Brother house when he was just 19-years-old.

He entered on day one as one of the original 15 housemates in the sixteenth instalment of the show and lasted a whopping 66 days in the Elstree Studios compound.

The Cardiff native made it all the way to the final but eventually lost out to Chloe Wilburn.

Despite a seemingly promising career in showbiz, he took his public profile down a completely different avenue.

Although he qualified as a barrister, he now works as a Conservative Party Councillor at County Hall in Cardiff, Wales.

On social media, he even goes by the name of '@JoelTory'.

Before he entered the show, he made his political intentions very much known.

When asked what his proudest achievement was, he admitted: "I was appointed the youngest school governor in Wales and I'm a local community councillor.

"That was a big achievement for me because I think it is great to represent people."

He also detailed his connections to the Tories in an interview, prior to entering the house.

Joel revealed: "I've met a couple of politicians as a member of the Conservative party and secretary of Cardiff North Conservative association."

Throughout the show he was engulfed in controversy after model Aaron Frew was ejected from the house.

Joel became very uncomfortable when the now 32-year-old model refused to stop exposing himself.
