One fan has suggested that she should not admit to the lack of knowledge.
They added that she could still sponsor a business she doesn't know the market for.
Happy Valley's James Norton teases Tommy's 'deep hatred' in final seriesThe viewer took to social media with their opinion, writing: "I love Sara on Dragon's Den I think she adds something different and she's very entertaining, BUT on this new series every investment opportunity she's had she's either said 'I know nothing about this market, I'm out' like fair enough being honest but I don't understand why say that.
"Why make the people already have a preconceived perception that she won't do anything with the business?
"My point is If she likes a business she should just make an offer and don't make her impact on the business seem not that big, because I'm sure even if she doesn't know the market I'm sure she can still make a massive impact on any business she gives her money too."
Another person agreed, sharing: "I've had the same thought about her. Why does she expose her weakness when people like Peter, Touker and to some extent Deborah make it always look that they are good at everything?"
However, others disputed that she is in the right for only sponsoring projects she cares about.
One pointed out: "I think Sara likes to act as a mentor on businesses she's passionate about. I think whenever those interests align she usually makes an offer."
Someone chipped in adding: "Obviously Dragons will always give a reason why they go out.
"As for what impact she could make, well the truth is, its not just about the money.
"Sara can spend her time, building a business she knows how to build, or she can build a business with guess work. Dragons want to be 'smart money', not 'dumb money' which can sometimes come from a bank loan.
"Time, and the risk / reward ratio is maybe more important than money, in those deals."
