Logan Paul asked an interviewer "what the f***?" as he reacted angrily to being asked if he'd used steroids.

Paul, whose brother Jake is set to take on former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in July, has moved into the ring himself. The YouTuber-turned-fighter has a 1-1 professional boxing record, and also faced Floyd Mayweather in a non-scored exhibition bout in 2021.

The 29-year-old's former training partner Jean Pascal previously tested positive for performance-enhancing substances. Pascal, who had been due to feature on the Paul-Mayweather card, tested positive for multiple banned substances in the lead-up to the fight.

“I am shocked and embarrassed. I would never voluntarily take illegal substances,” Pascal said at the time. Paul, meanwhile, was adamant he had not taken steroids or any other banned substance.

"What the f***? No, Graham," Paul said when directly asked by journalist Graham Bensinger whether he had used steroids. There was then a repeated "no" when Bensinger asked about other performance-enhancing drugs.

"With boxing, you're drug tested, so you can't," he added. "It would be silly, I think, to try to do steroids in between there, but I get why a wrestler or an actor would do it if he didn't have anything else to do.

"But I've always prided myself on being as natural as I can be, and pushing yourself. I get asked this question all the time, especially when I get into my routine - like, three months into the workout regiment. Every single time people accuse me of being on steroids. I don't f***ing know. I think it's hard for people fo understand that someone can look like that without having to use steroids."

Ahead of the Jake Paul v Mike Tyson bout in Texas, Logan has been called out by Tyson's former sparring partner Joe Egan. The undercard for the fight, set to be held at the AT&T Stadium, has yet to be announced.

"Hello Logan Paul, my name is Joe Egan," the Irishman said. "I'm seven times Irish boxing champion and sparring partner to the great Mike Tyson. Your brother Jake Paul is going to get in and box. I admire that man so much for having the courage to box one of the most ferocious punchers of our era,"

Paul beat Dillon Danis in a 2023 bout, after which he said "I think I’m retired from boxing". He had earlier spoken out after the drug test results from the bout came back negative.

"The results are negative, haters you are going to have keep trying," he said. "No performance-enhancing drugs like I said. Good luck next time though you f***ing dorks."
