EXCITABLE new Britain’s Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli has admitted he was rapped on the knuckles for his antics after the first day of auditions.

Alesha, 44, repeatedly told the demonstrative Italian dancer, 67, to sit back down before eventually pushing him into his seat yesterday.

It came after Alesha and Amanda Holden rounded on Bruno — first for being too harsh on hopefuls then for hitting his golden buzzer before an act finished.

They told Bruno his comment that a choir “didn’t blend well” was unfair as it was hard to “sort technical aspects straight away”.

Simon, 63, intervened by asking the singers to try another song.

He also pressed his buzzer, sending an act through to the live semi-finals later this year, after Bruno put pressure on his fellow judges by repeatedly hitting his.

Bruno lapped up the attention at the London Palladium, turning to the audience and declaring: “I’ve had so much fun, I’ve already been told off. I’m loving it!”

Controversy over pay threatened to overshadow auditions with Alesha and Amanda, 51, put out by rumours Bruno would get more than them.

They formed a pact to quit unless they were not satisfied and a settlement was happily reached.

Bruno had been a shock signing as Alan Carr, 46, was favourite to replace David Walliams, 51.

Amanda is said to be gutted that her close friend did not get the job and yesterday Alesha posted a picture of herself on Instagram holding hands with David.

She said how much she “missed him” and added: “Thank you for 10 amazing years on BGT.”
