A VAIN balding bandit cheekily responded to a police appeal by moaning about being described as having receding hair.

Daniel Kellaway, 29, blasted cops for pointing it out on a wanted poster page.

Avon and Somerset Police described Kellaway as having receding brown hair in their Good Friday appeal to find him for questioning over driving offences, criminal damage and threatening behaviour.

Kellaway commented on the site later that day: “No need to mention the hairline guys, I’m heading to Turkey to get it sorted then we will catch up.”

He split hairs again the next day, asking the force to update his age as it was his birthday.

His online taunts to cops had locals in stitches.

One woman commented on the force social media page: “I have not laughed this much in ages!!!”

Another hooted: “I shouldn’t laugh at this, but I am!!”

Retired Met detective Mick Neville said: “I have no doubt police will be combing the area looking for him. But Kellaway won’t be laughing for long over this brush with the law — the net will be drawing in.”

Another fugitive, Sonny Wescott, took umbrage with the same police force on the same day after they spelt his surname wrong on a wanted poster.

Wescott, 34, of South Bristol, used an offensive word to insult them after a Facebook appeal for info on his whereabouts.
