Christine McGuinness has revealed her new solo plans after years spent “working around” ex Paddy’s diary.
The 36-year-old parted ways with the new BBC Radio 2 host, who has just landed his own Sunday show on the station, in 2022 after 11 years of marriage. Releasing a joint statement at the time, the former couple said: “We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.
"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus was as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
The joint statement continued: "We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life. Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We'll be making no further comment."

But after years of having to plan things around Paddy when they were together, Christine is gearing up to go on holiday on her own and has shared her plans for a last-minute spring getaway in the sun.
She told The Sun: “I always book things last minute, because I’m always trying to work around Patrick’s diary and my diary. But I booked a solo trip for May and now I’m telling you this, I’m going to do it, but I’m pretty certain by the time it comes, I’ll end up asking someone to come with me!
“But it’s a retreat and I was invited to go on my own. I think everyone there is pretty much on their own. And I just thought, there’s nothing in the diary. Patrick’s here and it’s only for a couple of days. It’s just a little mummy break on my own because when you go away with your friends, it’s fun and it’s great and you’re making memories, but you don’t really chill. It will be a different experience. The plan is to do it, so we’ll see.”
Christine, who sadly revealed her nan died over the Easter weekend, shared she also wants to take her mum away on a trip this year but will “have to see where I can fit it in”. Sharing a sweet photo of her nan smiling with her hair decorated with a fascinator on social media, she wrote: "My Nan got her angel wings. I know wherever she is, she will be knitting and watching LFC finally at peace."
