Francis Ngannou sent a message to Kim Kardashian after fake dating rumours between the pair circulated online.

A fake quote from Kardashian about Ngannou circulated online last year just days after the former UFC heavyweight champion controversially lost his boxing debut against Tyson Fury. "I am compatible with former UFC boxer Francis Ngannou, I feel his energy within me, I think that one day, I will have the pleasure of visiting Cameroon," the fake quote read.

Ngannou, who fights Anthony Joshua in his second boxing match on Friday, has now replied to a tweet from Kardashian that read "miss u" alongside a selfie of the reality TV star in a car. The 37-year-old quote tweeted Kardashian's post with a meme of popular influencer Druski pointing at himself, seemingly indicating whether Kardashian's tweet was about him.

"Francis shooting his shot?!?? That’s my heavyweight champion," one user replied to Ngannou. "I can’t lie but Francis x Kim K - wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card," a second comment read. "Francis what are you doing oh my god, please focus on your fight," a third user commented before a final user joked: "Kanye West gonna write songs about you!"

Ngannou vacated his UFC world title and left the promotion last January to pursue his boxing career. After earning just £440,000 for his final UFC fight, Ngannou made around £10million for his loss against Fury and is expected to take home even more for his fight with Joshua.

"Every single fight will always feel different," Ngannou said. "In my opinion, the Tyson Fury one was different. It was the first time and there was a lot of noise. Fury is loud and there was a lot of curiosity, even a lot of people including the boxing community didn’t believe it. It’s changed because now people are thinking, 'Ok, this is a normal fight’.

Joshua said of the showdown whilst appearing at the grand arrivals in Riyadh: "There’s more than one way to skin a cat, it’s boxing. It’s not a battle for the centre it’s a battle for the win, I’m not fussed where I am in the ring. As long as I’m in a stance where I can punch, I’m in a good position. I know what I’ve got to do to get the win and all I’ve got to do is worry about myself."
