IF you were travelling on the train at rush hour - what would be the worst food to crack open?

Well, the moment a passenger decided to open a reduced pack of mackerel while on a packed train is currently going viral, and that's not even the worst bit.

The person then proceeded to remove the mackerel - in a pack with a yellow sticker on the front - from the packaging, and started eating it with their bare hands.

A video of the disgusting moment was shared on TikTok, with the poster adding: "London is something else!"

Unsurprisingly, the comments section was almost immediately filled with people left aghast at the situation.

"This is so wild," a third commented.

As someone else recalled: "Once watched a man eat a raw beef burger straight out the packet on the bus."

"This has sent me over the edge, I don’t think I can commute," another wrote.

With the poster replying: "I had to stay off the tube for days after, can’t lie!"

"The disrespect!" someone else marvelled.

"I’m fuming watching this," another admitted.

"This should be a jail worthy offence tbh," someone else insisted.

"As a cleaner this is my worst nightmare," another wrote.

And others revealed their own similar situations with stinky fish.

"Once I microwaved mackerel at work and no one spoke to me for the whole day," one wrote.

"I love mackerel," another admitted.

"But I will not do this ever. I will suffer with the smell of fish alone!"

"I used to eat mackerel on toast for lunch every day until I made my pregnant colleague sick in front of me," a third recalled.

"My first job I microwaved lobster bisque at lunch thinking I was fancy…. It’s concentrated fish stock," someone else sighed.

"It smelt so so so bad!"
