One appliance pro shares her cleaning commandments for averting drying disasters as well as the most common mistakes to avoid.
Saving time on laundry day has never been easier than with Whirlpool brand manager Morgan LaLonde's two-step method that will keep your towels looking fresher and fluffier.
"To help towels dry faster, give them a good shake before loading them in the machine," LaLonde told The U.S. Sun.
"This helps to help release any creases or crumples," she added.

To help soften towels and also make the drying process more efficient, she recommends adding wool or rubber dryer balls.

The balls boast the ability to reduce wrinkles and static.

LaLonde also has some strict rules for keeping your items smelling fresher and staying stain-free.

Once clothes are ready, make sure to transfer them to the dryer or drying rack as soon as possible to "avoid smells and reduce wrinkling," she said.
You'll also want to pay extra close attention to her most important piece of advice.
"People often forget one of the most crucial steps in the laundry process: regularly cleaning your washing machine," she said.
"Routine cleans monthly - or after every 30 wash cycles - are necessary to help keep it in good condition," she continued.
Removing dirt, soap scum, or other debris that accumulates over time will ensure your machine is doing the best washing it possibly can.
And that means cleaner clothes.
LaLonde also spoke with The U.S. Sun about how to best prevent towels from getting extra stiff and scratchy - and what product to avoid.
When it comes to keeping towels softer, she recommends "using white distilled vinegar or baking soda as an alternative to fabric softeners."
"Fabric softener can sometimes leave a residue or impact the absorbency of towels," she added.
