In a bitter message on X, former Twitter, one fan wrote: "Where's Edd? It was his show."

The troll was referring to the ex-presenter of Wheeler Dealer, Edd China, who worked alongside Brewer for 13 series since 2003.

In response, Brewer hit back at the mean keyboard warrior, saying: "You monumental bellend!"

He was replaced on the show by Ant Anstead in 2018, and two years later by  Marc 'Elvis' Priestley.

China's sudden departure sparked rumours of feud between the two presenters.

China said in a YouTube video at the time: "Is he [Brewer] my favourite person right now? Probably not. And I know for sure that I am not his.

"But that's okay. We're both adults. We'll get over ourselves. We're gonna get past this and then we'll be fine."

The duo continued to assure that they remained on good terms, but Brewer later admitted that he was "hurt" by China's exit.

Speaking to the Road to Success podcast, Brewer revealed that he was left "in tears" on the day China left the show.

He also added that he felt "used" and the duo hasn't met up for seven years since they parted ways.

Brewer continued: "He has no desire to call me. I was a tool at that period of time to create a career and that’s fine.

"He didn't want to be a Wheeler Dealer anymore. It’s as simple as that. There's no controversy or mystery behind it."

China explained at the time of his decision that he disagreed with how channel Velocity wanted the show to be made.

''In particular, the detailed and in depth coverage of my fixes in the workshop, what I consider to be the backbone and USP of the programme, are something Velocity feel should be reduced," he said.

"However, this new direction is not something I am comfortable with as I feel the corners I was being asked to cut compromised the quality of my work and would erode my integrity as well as that of the show, so I have come to the conclusion that my only option is to let Velocity get on with it, without me.''

Six days later, in another video, China revealed how his co-presenter Brewer had phoned him to explain that his wife and his daughter were receiving significant online abuse, including death threats, as a result of China's decision to leave the show.

He took to YouTube to plead with the show's fans to stop the bullying and threats.
