KATE Beckinsale has sparked concern among her fans after posting a snap showing her in a hospital bed.
The model and actress, 50, included the worrying image in a round-up of Instagram pictures to celebrate her mum's birthday.
Yet hidden amongst the celebratory moments came the snapshot of Kate, in a blue nightie, perched in hospital bed.
She was propped up against a wall filled with plug sockets and a TV monitor and wrapped up in white sheets.
The brunette was make-up free but had a huge hair bow accessory pinned to her locks.

Kate glanced away from the lens as the image was taken, yet then included a close-up showing tears in her eyes.
She then shared a snap showing her pal visiting her and lying on another bed in the room.
With the Prisoner's Daughter star offering no explanation about her condition, fans' worries were rife.
One wrote in the comments section: "Are you OK? Why are you in a hospital? Please get Well soon."
A second put: "What on earth are you doing in hospital Kate?" as a third simply quizzed: "You ok? X"
Another added: "Are you ok Kate? I hope you are fine we love you."
One then put: "Happy Birthday to your beautiful mum. I hope you're feeling better now/soon."
A fan then concluded: "Sorry to see you not well. Hope you will get through this soon."
It is not clear what Kate's illness is or if she is still in the medical ward.

Alongside, Kate had added the gushing caption: "Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother.
"Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s**t and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t. And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us . . And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.
"Thank you for loving us, those who do, and for the amazing, kindest Nick, and especially for my mother’s capacity for joy. It is so inspiring and beautiful.
"Happy everything mama. Your fight for joy despite also welcoming tears is the experience of watching a warrior up close. I love you x"
Kate was recently seen partying with fellow movie star Florence Pugh at the BAFTAs.
Shortly before, she had dazzled in a stunning frock for the 2024 Golden Globes.
Yet her nights out have come amid a period of sadness after the death of her stepfather Roy Battersby.
Director Roy suffered a “massive stroke” in December and was hospitalised in Los Angeles, California while battling two forms of cancer.
Kate posted a video montage honouring her stepdad - who had been diagnosed just last year - on Instagram.
“I have no words yet,” Kate captioned the video, before thanking a fan account for editing it.
“I fought you with everything I had. Oh Roy I am so sorry I lost.”
