American hitmaker Madonna has proudly supported her son Rocco Ritchie as he showcased his art in a new exhibition, with paintings priced at a whopping £20,000 ($25,000).

The Material Girl hitmaker, 65, took a rare night off from her epic Celebration Tour - which is set to come to a close in Brazil next month - as she headed to Miami to be alongside her eldest son, who she shares with ex-husband Guy Ritchie. The doting mother took to Instagram to share a slideshow of images of the art show, as she told her followers she was “so happy” to be there to back the 23-year-old.

“So happy to have the night off to enjoy my son Rocco’s’s [sic] latest collection of paintings called ‘Pack A Punch’ inspired by Muay Thai fighters. So Proud! @miamidesigndistrict,” Madonna wrote. The Queen of Pop wore a stunning emerald green suit for the art event, which she teamed with a white cowboy hat and a New York Yankees diamond necklace, as she posed alongside her son Rocco.

His pieces were selling for around £20,000 ($25,000), and in another snap, Madonna looked overjoyed as she stood with four of her six children at the exhibition. Son David Banda, 18, daughter Mercy James, also 18, and twin daughters Stella and Estere, 11, were in Miami to support their big brother, while Madonna’s eldest daughter Lourdes Leon, 27, did not attend.

In the comments, her fans were quick to spot the striking resemblance between Rocco and his filmmaker father Guy. “HE LOOKS LIKE A YOUNGER GUY RITCHIE????” one wrote, as another agreed: “I think he looks like both. I definitely see Madonnas brothers in him.” Madonna and Guy split in 2008 after eight years of marriage, and they endured a bitter custody battle over Rocco in 2015, which ended with the teenager relocating to England to live with his father.

Despite the family drama, Madonna’s fans were in awe of her bond with Rocco, as one commented: “Just imagine growing up all your life getting to say Madonna is your mother,” as another added: “We love to see it. Talent runs in the family.” While one follower gushed: “Amazing art, amazing children reared by an amazing mother.”

It was revealed in 2021 that Rocco was using an alias to sell his art, as he wanted to go “under the radar” as he established himself as an artist. He was being represented by a London gallery under the pseudonym Rhed, and admitted he had already sold paintings that were inspired by the “fixation of celebrities and labels”. He told Artnet ahead of his show in Miami this week: “Rhed was something I came up with to go under the radar in the first few years of making work. It doesn’t hold much deep meaning behind it; I just liked the way it sounded. I tried to go along with it for as long as I could, but word eventually got out.”
