SALLY Lindsay quickly became a household name when she joined Coronation Street in the early noughties.

After quitting the Corrie cobbles, this talented star has become one of the UK's leading drama actresses and is now starring in Channel 5's Love Rat.

Who is Love Rat star Sally Lindsay and what is her net worth?

Born on July 8, 1973, Sally Lindsay is an actress who originally studied to become a journalist at the University of Hull.

However, she was cast in a play and developed a love for acting and comedy which led to a friendship with Peter Kay at the age of 24.

The pair worked together on the sitcom, Phoenix Nights, before Sally went on to join Coronation Street in 2001.

Away from acting and Sally has also hosted Pointless alongside Alexander Armstrong, and been a panellist on Loose Women.

 

What other TV shows has Sally Lindsay starred in?

Sally famously played Shelly Unwin in Coronation Street from 2001 to 2006, and even won Best Actress at the Inside Soap Awards in 2005 for the role.

When asked in 2016, if she would be keen to go back to Corrie, Sally admitted that she would "never say never".

She's gone on to play Mrs. Agnes in Still Open All Hours as well as having roles in Mount Pleasant, Citizen Khan and Ordinary Lies.

She also starred in the Channel 5 show Sally and Nigel’s Posh Hotel.

Sally voiced the character of Piella Bakewell in BBC's Wallace and Gromit Christmas film A Matter Of Loaf And Death.

She also appeared in BBC's 2020 series Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators.

Since 2021, she has played the leading role in The Madame Blanc Mysteries.

In 2024, the actress starred in Channel 5 mini-series, Love Rat.

Sally plays Emma, a British divorcee who heads to Cyprus on a break, before falling for handsome stranger Niko, and getting caught up in a whirlwind holiday romance.

She soon finds herself entangled in a web of deceit when her seemingly perfect partner scams her out of her life savings.

Talking about the harrowing plot and what her character Emma goes through, Sally told This Morning: "It’s such a horrible thing that happens to her.

"He basically steals her heart and her money.

"It turns into this really dark psychological drama - I love that. It’s dark. Yeah, it’s dark."

Is Sally married and does she have children?

Sally is married to drummer Steve White, and the pair have twin boys named Victor and Louie.

The non-identical twins were born in September 2010.

Her husband is best known for being a member of Paul Weller's band The Style Council.

Speaking about their wedding, Steve told HELLO!: “The service was perfect – personal but simple, emotional and heartfelt, which is what we wanted it to be.”

Steve was previously married to Hayley Marsh.

He has two children from his first marriage named Kristabel and Curtis.
