Spring is well underway and some households may be thinking about firing up their grill - and looking for the perfect food to serve.

Cathedral City has launched an item at Iceland stores that is bound to send barbecue lovers into a frenzy.

Cheesy Dogs are made from pork with melting cheddar cheese chunks.

It comes as the latest addition to Iceland’s popular Cathedral City range.

The news was shared on Facebook racking up thousands of likes and comments from fans branding them "delicious".

One social media user said: "Had them last night and they were amazing."

Another wrote: "And they are absolutely delicious - I had some the other week in finger rolls."

A third cried: "Nice with a bit of cheesy mash."

And a fourth added: "I had jalapenos, fried onions and mustard on mine. Absolutely banging."

The cheesy dogs come in packs of four and are available to buy in supermarkets or online now at £6.

You can also buy them as part of a £10 mix and match offer, making them £5.

But you should only buy them as part of this deal if you want to buy another packet, or another qualifying item.

It comes after Heinz released a new cheese and beans toastie at Iceland in collaboration with Cathedral City.
