After a tense set of quarter-finals, we now know the semi-final line-up for the 2023-24 Champions League.

There were goals galore in Tuesday's second legs. Borussia Dortmund claimed victory over Atletico Madrid in a topsy-turvy tie with to two goals in a couple of minutes securing a 5-4 aggregate victory, while Paris Saint-Germain took advantage of Ronald Araujo's red card to beat Barcelona 4-1 on the night and 6-4 on aggregate.

We saw more drama on Wednesday, with the two remaining English representatives in action. Arsenal suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich, while Manchester City suffered a painful penalty shoot-out defeat to Real Madrid.

The draw for the semis was made at the same time as that for the quarters, meaning the four teams left in the competition already knew what was in store. Dortmund will take on PSG, with Bayern up against Real Madrid, and Mirror Football has all the relevant information for you.

When are the Champions League semi-finals

The first legs of the 2023-24 Champions League semi-finals will take place on April 30 and May 1. The second legs are just one week later, on May 7 and 8, with all fixtures due to kick off at 8pm UK time.

Because the semi-final draw was made at the same time as the quarter-final draw, we already know which teams will play at home first. Dortmund will welcome PSG to Signal Iduna Park before travelling to the Parc des Princes for the away leg, while Bayern will welcome Real Madrid to the Allianz Arena before heading to the Bernabeu a week later.

The matches are a little earlier than last season's semis, which were pushed back after the winter World Cup in 2022. The late April and early May combination was more common in previous seasons, though, with the matches played on the exact same dates as the 2019 semi-finals.

What TV channel are the semi-finals on?

As with the Champions League group stage, round of 16 and quarter-finals, UK viewers can watch the semi-finals on TNT Sports. The broadcaster has shown between 30 minutes and an hour of build-up for the quarter-finals ahead of the 8pm kick-offs.

TNT Sports will also show the final, as well as the majority of games in the next three seasons. However, from next season onwards, Amazon will broadcast a number of live games while The BBC will show a highlights programme.

The 2024-25 Champions League will be the first edition of the tournament to use a new Swiss-style format in place of the group stage. This means there will be 36 teams involved in the first phase, up from the 32 this season.
