A PLACE in the Sun star Scarlette Douglas was rushed to hospital after discovering shocking symptoms during her egg-freezing process.

The TV presenter took to her Instagram stories to reveal she'd been rushed to A&E after Googling her symptoms online.

Scarlette, 37, admitted to feeling a strange numbness across her arm and leg over the past few days and was forced to seek urgent medical attention.

The Channel 4 presenter made a candid video to reveal her scary ordeal.

Looking glam ahead of hosting an awards show, Scarlette said to her followers: "I'm hosting an awards show today which means that in my break I'll be running to the toilet here and glamorously doing one of my injections.

"I have noticed over the last few days I've been getting like a slight numbing tingling sensation in my left arm and a little bit in my left leg."

Describing her symptoms, the star continued: "It feels like a dead arm, dead leg, you know when you sleep on something funny.

"So at first I was thinking that's probably what it is, but then obviously Doctor Google freaked me out and made me think that it could be something worse."

Scarlette confirmed that she had phoned her clinic to have a second opinion which is where she was told to make the hospital dash as soon as she had finished her work.

She added: "Just to triple check everything's okay so I will be doing that after the award show tonight. Make sure I don't have any blood clots and also to make sure there is no ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome going on."

In positive news, the I'm A Celeb star confirmed she had undergone a routine scan earlier in the week which had showed "everything was fine" and expected during the process.

Having completed her work obligations, she shared a selfie from inside the hospital where she confirmed she had been checked over and was waiting to hear back if anything more was required.

The Worst House on the Street star has been open and honest across her social media accounts in recent months abut her current egg-freezing journey.

Having reached her late 30s she confirmed that she was undergoing the process of freezing her eggs in the hopes of starting a family further down the line.

Scarlette revealed it had been something that she had long thought abut and had previously been encouraged by family and friends when she was much younger in order to have her eggs preserved ready for any age.
