Josie Gibson lands 'surreal' new job days after Stephen Mulhern 'love' admission

Josie Gibson has landed a totally different job as she brands it a "surreal moment".

The TV star, 39, shot to fame when she won Big Brother back in 2010. She has continued to remain on screens and become a fan favourite, leading to her landing a role as a This Morning host. Last year, Josie headed Down Under for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, and now she has turned her attention to a very different role.

Josie has become the new face of supermarket Iceland. The mum-of-one will be fronting the supermarket's new TV adverts from Friday (19 April). In the ad, Josie debuts the new strapline for the shop which is now "that's why we go to Iceland," rather than "that's why mums go to Iceland".

The presenter said: "I remember shopping in Iceland when I was a little girl, so it feels incredibly surreal to be working with them as the face of the brand. I love that Iceland is a great British business always doing the right thing for shoppers. I admire and support their commitment to bringing the best value products and deals to its customers. Shooting the ad and meeting the team was so much fun and I can’t wait for people to see it.”

Before becoming the star of their advert, Josie headed behind the tills and served shoppers at one of its stores. She then stacked the freezers and was presented with her own Iceland jacket and name badge. The new advert sees Josie shopping for Iceland’s well-known favourites and she will continue to be part of their campaign for 12 months, including summer and Christmas specials.

Earlier this week Josie sparked speculation of a romance with Stephen Mulhern after they were spotted hand in hand outside BBC Studios. They appeared cosy and when questioned about the nature of their relationship by Mail Online, Josie told the publication: "I'm in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don't think he loves me."

Josie was thought to be single following her relationship with ex-partner Terry. She shares son Reggie-James, six, with the property developer. They started dating in 2017, but after welcoming their son the following year they split up five months later. Josie has previously been linked to Big Brother co-star, John James Parton. They dated for just under a year following the show.

In 2012, Josie was engaged to Luke Sanwo were engaged just six months after meeting. They went their separate ways in April, 2015 with Josie explaining the passion that had once bonded them was "virtually non existent" during another chat with New! Magazine. Stephen, on the other hand, has kept his card close to the chest although he was romantically involved with EastEnders actress Emma Barton, aka Honey Mitchell in 2008. The couple became close during the panto production of Snow White in Birmingham but eventually called it quits in 2011. Seven years later, Stephen told Celebs Now he hadn't been in a date "in four years", adding: "That makes me sound really sad! I need a life. I need to stop working so much."
