The Apprentice aide Karren Brady has shared an update about her daughter and newborn grandson, having opened up about being a grandparent following the latest final.
The business executive's daughter Sophia Peschisolido, 27, welcomed her baby into the world just last month. The newborn's arrival provided grandmother Karren, now 55, with an "extra special" birthday herself just days later.
The birth of her first grandchild, whose name has yet to be revealed, came amid the latest series of the Apprentice, which concluded on Thursday. Karren, who's been an aide to Lord Sugar on the BBC show since 2010, gave an update on her family whilst on the companion show You're Hired.
Its host Tom Allen, 40, spoke to Karren and fellow aide Tim Campbell, 46, on the final episode, which aired on Thursday night after the Apprentice. He said: "A lot has been going on for both of you recently. Karren, I hear congratulations are in order - you've recently become a grandmother."

Expressing her pride about Sophia, who is the eldest of her two children, and her partner Frankie Makin, Karren further commented: "I am so proud of her and her family and her husband and everybody's really well, so it's great."
It was announced last month that Sophia had given birth to a son. She shared a photo on Instagram of the newborn in a onesie that had "welcome to the world" on the front and added: "Our son, never known a love like this 28/03/24."
The post also included a photo that's showed Frankie leaving the hospital with their newborn baby, who was being pushed in a pram. And Sophia, sharing an update, later told her followers: "Not been on my phone for ages but thanks so much to everyone who's messaged me. We are both doing good. Been in the newborn bubble."

A photo was shared of Sophia holding her newborn son beside Karren whilst in a restaurant. They were joined by Karren's husband Paul Peschisolido, 52, and Sophia's partner Frankie.
It was suggested in the caption that Karren will be referred to as "nanny" by her grandson. Sophia wrote: "Happy birthday mommy/nanny. Baby's first outing." Karren shared the post on her own Instagram Story, adding: "It's an extra special birthday this year." She included a blue heart emoji.
Sophia had announced that she was expecting a baby in November last year. Karren later discussed the pregnancy whilst on ITV's Loose Women that month. She said: "I'll tell you what's incredible: when your baby is having a baby. It's just an incredible feeling. I mean, Sophia is such a kind-spirited, wonderful person. She's gonna make a fabulous mother - she's so happy and so excited."
