Bradford murder: Woman, 52, charged after 'burnt body' found in back garden

A woman has been charged with murder after a man's "burnt body" was found in the back garden of a house in a quiet street in Bradford.

Detectives investigating the death arrested 52-year-old Susan Poole and she is set to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court this morning. The charge relates to an incident at an address in Shetland Close on Tuesday, April 16, where a man’s body was found. A 26-year-old man who was also arrested has been released on bail pending further enquiries, West Yorkshire Police has said.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Holdsworth, who is leading the investigation, said: “We have a number of ongoing enquiries into this incident and the circumstances surrounding it, and for those reasons would ask for people not to speculate about it on social media. Anyone with information which may assist our investigation can contact my team."

Pictures show visible charring and fire damage to ground floor windows of the house, with at least six forensics officers, clothed in white protective suits, were seen combing the property for clues.
