THE SCOTTISH Grand National is up and running from Ayr.

Last year, Kitty's Light won the big one to wrap up an emotional finale in the showpiece race.

This year, Willie Mullins is looking to make history by claiming the British trainers' title after his horse I Am Maximus romped to victory in the Grand National at Aintree last weekend.

Mullins has six horses in the Scottish Grand National - Spanish Harlem, Macdermot, Mr Incredible, Klarc Kent, Wellhaven and Ontheropes.

The total purse for the race is £200,000.
£112,540 will go to the winner.
