Geri Horner arrived to celebrate Spice Girl co-star Victoria Beckham’s fiftieth birthday without husband Christian.
The 51-year-old singer - who was iconically branded Ginger Spice during her girl group days - has been married to millionaire formula one Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner, 50, since 2015 and they share a son together. But as Geri stepped out - in trademark pristine white - to join Victoria at her party, Christian was nowhere to be seen.
However, it seems the F1 boss was forced to miss out on the fun due to work commitments - as the Chinese F1 is in full swing and he was needed to attend. Christian has been Team Principal and CEO of the Red Bull F1 Team since 2005 and attends all the events with the team. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, he expressed his joy at being able to watch his team succeeding again.
He shared a snap of a formula one car coated in Red Bull branding - as well as a snap of expert drivers Max Verstappen and Checo Perez. He wrote: "There are few Saturday’s better than that. A sprint race victory and our 100th pole position for the Team @redbullracing where we picked up our first 15 years ago.
"We started the day with victory in a frenetic sprint race, as @MaxVerstappen1 charged from P4 to take victory. @schecoperez also produced a wonderful double overtake to ensure he took P3 and a sprint race podium. Both drivers then followed that up with a brilliant front row lockout this afternoon to take our 100th pole position for the Team and five out of five for the season! It sets us up magnificently for tomorrow’s #ChineseGP."
Landlady warns kids left alone in pub will be given Red Bull and taught to swearThe good news comes after Christian's professional and personal lives were rocked after hundreds of messages the F1 boss allegedly sent to a female colleague were leaked. They came to light 24 hours after it was revealed he had been cleared to continue as team principal at Red Bull following an internal probe into “inappropriate behaviour”.
But back in Blightly - and weeks after the scandal made headlines - Christian missed out on an epic party as Vicky B took over the iconic Oswald’s club in Mayfair, London, to celebrate her landmark birthday. Geri and the other Spice Girls were all in attendance, making it a rare occasion where all five ladies were in the same place at the same time.
A huge host of A List stars came together to help Victoria celebrate - while she herself arrived flanked by husband David, 48, sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19, as well as 12-year-old daughter Harper Seven, and using crutches to support herself after breaking a foot in a gym accident. Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, 61, was among the first to arrive at the glitzy party.
He erupted from a car with arms outstretched and wearing a sharp evening suit. And he had to jump into action as a hapless paparazzi photographer stumbled over at the entrance of Oswald’s - with the Mission Impossible star racing to help him get back on his feet.
Mel B arrived looking dazzling in a red dress, while Mel C and Emma Bunton both looked chic in black outfits. Earlier this week, Victoria reflected on turning 50 - as she her actual birthday was on Wednesday. She shared a snap of herself on Instagram and wrote: "As I get ready to step into 50 (in heels, of course!), I feel so incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone. Blessed, but also accomplished and deeply content. Not just of where I am as a woman, but of how far my fashion and beauty brands have come. My ambition was always to empower women and make them feel like the best version of themselves. To me, that meant trusting my instinct and never compromising on my creative vision.
"I believe that you can be many things. A pop star, a mother, a wife, a designer… My passion has always been to dream big, then dream even bigger! Believe in yourself first — everyone else will follow. And if you’re really lucky, you’ll find someone who believes in you even more than you do. @DavidBeckham, I’m forever grateful for your unconditional love and support, and for our beautiful children. @BrooklynPeltzBeckham, @RomeoBeckham, @CruzBeckham, #HarperSeven, you complete me. I’m so proud, so in awe of the kind, hard-working, talented individuals you are all becoming."
She added: "So, here’s to doing more of what I love with the people I love. I’m so thankful for my family, my friends, and my incredible team! This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and I’m only just getting started. Mummy and daddy, I love you."
