Both presenters fronted the show from Marlborough Downs in North Wessex.

Opening the programme, Sean, 47, said: "The Marlborough Downs fall part of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape where chalk uplands open up to broad, flat valleys below."

However, just minutes into the episode Countryfile viewers spotted a huge blunder.

Taking to social media, they pointed out how the programme got the location of Uffington White horse wrong.

One viewer said: "#Countryfile the Uffington White horse is OXFORDSHIRE you muppets!"

A second wrote: "People in Wiltshire will be surprised to be told by #Countryfile that the Uffington White Horse in Oxfordshire is located on the Marlborough Downs."

"Wow #Countryfile from my neck of the woods - Marlborough Downs. And the start of the programme is from Uffington Horse in Oxfordshire," said a third.

That wasn't the only thing to irk viewers, as they questioned why the programme was discussing dentistry.

One viewer said: "What have NHS Dentists got to do with The Countryside? More irrelevant guff to pad out #countryfile."

Another posted: "#Countryfile What has lack of dentists got to do with countryside matters?? Is this panorama or Countryfile? My favourite Sunday evening relaxation show ruined."

Countryfile airs Sundays at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
