Maya Jama delighted fans with ‘cute pics’ and a video clip from sun-soaked California where she’s been cuddling up with boyfriend Stormzy - sparking wedding hopes among fans.
The 29-year-old Love Island host is having a time at the Coachella music festival in California - alongside 30-year-old music sensation boyfriend Stormzy. Maya has been giving fans access to her antics in the sunshine - and thrilling them with stunning photographs and videos.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Saturday, Maya danced in her sun chair as she soaked up the rays while wearing a striking bikini. She soundtracked the video clip with music by her boyfriend - with his song Cry No More, who he created with fellow musician Headie One, playing over the footage. She later shared a string of snaps from the desert set festival. She wrote online: “Got the cute pic yday” along with a red heart emoji and a crying-with-laughter emoji.
The collection of snaps showed Maya sitting beside a pool and shielding her eyes from sunshine as she bathed in warm late spring weather. Another snap showed her being hugged by Stormzy while she smiled with her eyes closed. Other snaps showed her knocking back drinks and posing with friends, taking in dance music, and enjoying some downtime beside a fire pit.
Fans flocked to the comments section of the collection of images - after one of the snaps in particular drew attention. One fan commented - clearly referencing the image of Maya with her man - to write: “Look how in love you are! Even after all these years you’re so smitten regardless of the ups and downs! I am so happy for you both.” While another urged: “Stormzy put a ring on it for gods sake.”
Gemma Owen's mum makes cryptic 'fakery' dig after Love Island star's Luca splitMaya and Stormzy’s romance has been far from sunny over the years - with the couple first getting together in 2015 then dramatically splitting in 2019. But they rekindled their romance last year. Reports last September suggested Stormzy, real name Michael Omari, planned to propose to Maya after winning her back. A source told The Sun: “Stormzy knows how lucky he is to have gotten Maya back and he’s determined not to lose her again. He wants to make her his wifey for lifey. He’s telling his mates this is it for him now, he’s found the one.”
While other sources claimed the pair were visiting a counsellor to help ensure their relationship didn’t implode like it did before. A source told the Mirror last September: "Stormzy and Maya have been encouraged to go to "couples’ therapy" to nip their past issues in the bud once and for all. He is very close to his mum Abigail’s pastor, and she made the recommendation. They plan to use him in a similar role to Bishop T.D. Jakes in Oprah Winfrey’s life, who has guided her through the highs and lows of life with transformational thinking."
And the source teasingly added: "Stormzy and Maya have never stopped loving each other and want to do all they can to protect their second shot at lifelong happiness. Stormzy has already told friends he’s ready to have kids as early as next year."
