Rihanna fans fear the singer has scrapped her new album after making a change on her social media profile.
The Umbrella hitmaker took to Instagram over the weekend to officially end the 10 year reign of her stick drawing profile picture on her @badgalriri account, and replaced it with a photo of a Fenty Beauty product. Eagle-eyed fans spotted the change and immediately went into mourning, as they believed the Umbrella hitmaker had scrapped her new album after teasing it earlier this year. "RIP to Rihanna’s avi, gone but never forgotten," one tweeted, as another added: "rihanna changing her iconic instagram pfp to a fenty product… now this is where we draw the line."
"Rihanna just changed her iconic profile pic to a fenty beauty product… we’re NEVER getting new music," another complained, as one fan replied: "It’s over she finally had the courage to admit it lol." One furious fan wrote: "At this point Music industry Is trash without her," as many others speculated she would be focusing instead on her beauty and fashion line, rather than heading back into the recording studio.

Last week, Rihanna teased more details of her upcoming new album, as she revealed her long-term partner A$AP Rocky could make an appearance as they were still figuring out details. The couple, who share sons RZA, 23 months, and Riot, 8 months, said her new tracks were "so good" that they were causing a disagreement in the studio.
Rihanna used a budget Boots foundation to achieve 'flawless' Golden Globes look"I already got stuff that I feel like I can make hits out of. Me and Rocky are really trying to figure out who is going to use what," she told Entertainment Tonight. Earlier this year, she revealed more cryptic clues about her new album, which will be the first since Anti in 2016, as she confessed no tracks had been written, but she had "visuals" for all of her songs.
"It’s weird. My brain is working backward right now. I usually have the music first, and the music leads me into all of these visual opportunities, and now I’m having all of these visuals. But maybe that’s the key, this time. Maybe the visual ideas are leading me to the songs that I need to make," she told Interview magazine in February.
It’s unlikely Rihanna has scrapped her new album, as her longtime producer James Fauntleroy confirmed in December last year that he had been working with the We Found Love hitmaker again. "I've known her for so long, and the last session I did for her was last week," he told People.
