The robbery took place at Phillippa's Bakery store on North Street in Richmond, an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, where a number of items were stolen - including almond croissants.

The CCTV footage was shared by the business on social media, with staff left "quite surprised" at what they saw.

The post reads: "Seems like yoga is a must before breaking in.

"A few things were stolen including some croissants which were clearly too tempting for this flexible burglar."

It wasn't just savoury treats that were stolen, however.

The baker's shoes, an iPad and cleaning products were also allegedly taken.

The woman has been charged with theft, burglary and going equipped to steal.

She has been bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court in May.

Melbourne is all too familiar with bizarre burglars, however, after a brazen criminal broke into a house before taking a bath, having a shave, brushing his teeth and then masturbating.

The thief spent five hours in the home in south-east Melbourne, where he also cooked himself some noodles and played a Playstation before fleeing.

A student in America also received the shock of her life when finding a shame-faced male burglar hiding in her wardrobe and wearing her clothes.

The University of North Carolina student told local media she could hear “rattling" in her closet and "thought it was a raccoon” before deciding to investigate.

And another woman also dubbed the "real-life Catwoman" was apprehended by cops in October after ransacking a string of penthouse apartments in Brazil.

The glam crook, who was on the run for a year, had captured the hearts of local men after police released CCTV footage of her crimes.
