LATE Hairy Bikers legend Dave Myers final on-screen words are revealed tonight in a tear-jerking scene.

Dave, who died last month aged 66 after battling cancer for two years, makes his last appearance on air this evening in the final episode of Hairy Bikers Go West.

The episode went up early on BBC iPlayer today and has already had viewers in floods of tears.

And they are especially choked by a moving final scene which features Dave sitting on a bench with his co-star and friend Si King.

After a montage of their trip is aired, Dave turns to his pal and says: ""It's been amazing."

The two of them then hug and Dave tells his best mate: "I love you."

Needless to say, those who have already watched have been in bits.

"Bittersweet moment watching the final episode," one emotional fan wrote on X.

A second added:  “Just watched the final episode of the @HairyBikers Go West series… so glad that they had that time together and that Dave got to do some of those things he dreamt of doing (steam train driving for one). Got something in my eye and an appreciation for the little things in life.”

The final episode saw Dave and Si visit Dorset, where they took in a watercress farm, watched a blacksmith carve a chef's knife and enjoyed a lesson on rum distillation.

Si also became emotional during one poignant moment.

He said: “We’ve done it, but more importantly he’s done it.

"He’s my mate but I love him like family, like a brother, and I’m lost for words. It’s quite remarkable what he’s done”.

A tribute to Dave airs at the end of the episosde.

As the final credits roll, a picture of him fills the screen with the caption: “In loving memory of our friend, Dave Myers.”

The Hairy Bikers Go West airs tonight on BBC Two at 7pm.
