Dani Dyer shared an update on her surgery from her hospital bed.

The Love Island star – who is mum to twins girls, Summer and Star, and Santiago, two – revealed last week that she needed to undergo surgery to remove her coil after it had become "completely dislodged and moved". Dani explained the doctor realised she would be need key-hole surgery to remove it during a check-up.

Updating fans from her hospital bed, Dani shared a clip on TikTok. She said: "Please excuse the state of me I just wanted update you on my keyhole surgery...and honestly I feel fine this morning just a bit drowsy. I was more nervous about the general anaesthetic side of it but it just feels like a really good sleep.

"I feel fine, the scar is really small, he went through my belly button and then through my stomach but he's glued it so I think I will be alright with scarring. I just feel a bit tired but other than that it's quite a nice little night off.

"He told me to take it easy but I can get back to normal activities." Dani concluded by letting her fans know she would be going home shortly.

The Love Island star was flooded with messages of support from her fans and confirmed she had undergone the procedure privately when one fan commented on the speediness in which she had the surgery.

Dani joked last week that she "could have ended up with a fourth child this year" because of the issue. She shares her twin girls with West Ham boyfriend Jarrod while ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence is the father of Santiago.

The Mirena coil is a hormonal intrauterine system (IUS), which can be used as a method of contraception. It can also help to treat heavy periods and protect the lining of the womb during menopause.

Last week, Dani explained in a clip why she needed to the surgery. She said: "So long story cut short because I do like to ramble. I had to have a couple of appointments today for a nurse to check my Mirena coil.

"I've not really been getting on with it and I thought let's just go and get it checked and see what's going on. It's gone missing. It's completely dislodged and moved.

"He said what's happened is so rare so I don't want to scare anyone but I've got to have key hole surgery because of where it is embedded. It's nothing major but I just can't believe what has happened."

Dani rose to fame on Love Island in 2018, where she won the series alongside then-boyfriend Jack Fincham. They split after leaving the villa and Dani rekindled her relationship with former flame Sammy.

She welcomed Santiago in January 2021 and split from her son's father in July of that year after he was sentenced to three years in jail for a £34,000 scam.
