Wes Nelson revealed working with Craig David was a "dream come true".

The reality-turned-music star, who appeared on Love Island in 2018, recently released single Abracadabra with Craig. Speaking about working with the UK garage icon, Wes told Mirror: "He is an absolute legend, I can’t lie - it was a bit of a dream come true.

"He actually bought me a birthday present, which I have been telling everyone about - it’s a subtle flex. But seriously, he is so talented and i look forward to making beautiful music with him in the future."

Wes has enjoyed great success as a music artist after rising to fame in the Love Island villa. Abracadabra arrives ahead of Wes' European headline tour in May which will include stops in Nottingham, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff and Manchester. Since living the villa, Wes' music career has gone from strength to strength with the artist selling out a recent headline UK tour as well as joining N-Dubz as their main support for their return tour.

The reality star's journey recently came full circle when he and Craig David performed their new single in the Love Island All Stars villa in South Africa. Addressing the transition from reality star to music artist, Wes continued: "It’s been a fun journey, I think the most important advice that has got me through, is just being confident and taking everything as it comes.

"It’s all about feeling good, and I think when you smell good, you feel good - luckily I've got Lynx and the fine fragrance collection to help with that." Wes spoke to the Mirror after teaming up with Lynx for their new campaign, which saw the fragrance brand blind test Londoners for National Fragrance Week.

On Wednesday, Wes took to Southbank, London to reveal to a crowd that the new fragrance on a mysterious scented billboard on the banks of the Thames was in fact Lynx. Passers-by were asked it they thought the billboard smelt better than a £200 fragrance. According to a recent study, NEW Lynx Black Vanilla, one of the scents from the brand’s all-new Fine Fragrance Collection, has triumphed over Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, with an impressive 74% of men favouring Lynx over the designer fragrance priced at a hefty £294.

Wes added: “The fact that Lynx outperformed a luxury brand in a blind scent test is wild. I've spent more money than I'd like to admit on various fragrances, so I wanted to get involved and spread the word that Lynx have made a luxury scent at a price point that makes it accessible to everyone. I don't think luxury is about the price tag, and this new scent proves that.”
