What has Kate said about her diagnosis?

The Princess of Wales said her diagnosis came as a huge shock, which she and Prince William had been processing privately for the sake of their young family.

She said it had taken time for them to explain her diagnosis to George, Charlotte and Louis.

She said: “As I have said to them, I am well and I'm getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body and spirit.”

She also thanked everyone for their understanding while she recovered from surgery.
