The Mirror reports that the 44 year-old actor's final scenes will air tomorrow night in the Caribbean drama's series 13 finale.

A show insider told the publication: “Ralf has been brilliant in the role and he’s given it a good long run. Fans are sure to be sad to see him go but they’ll also be happy for Neville.”

His exit storyline will revolve around his character's search for true love.

During last weekend's episode, Ralf's character Neville could be seen ready to board a flight after making the decision to leave Saint Marie.

Fans were unsure as to whether he would actually board the plane after he was seen in first look snaps of the upcoming finale.

The pics saw him sharing a hug with Florence Cassell, played by Josephine Jobert, on the beach.

The moment takes place on the beach ahead of his impending exit.

Ralf called joining the show his "dream role" when he was announced as the latest cast leading man in 2019.

He said at the time: “It took less than 0.005 seconds to say yes to playing the new DI! How could I not? It is a joy to play Neville and I can’t wait for viewers to see him in paradise.”

He followed in the footsteps of Ben Miller, Kris Marshall and Ardal O’Hanlon by fronting the beloved show.

It's currently unknown who will step into his shoes when the show returns.

A fourteenth series has already been confirmed and there is a Christmas special in the works with filming due to commence soon.

In the last episode, fans saw Neville have his heart broken by the lying Zoe (Taj Atwal). And before that, Neville was separated from Florence  when she was put into witness protection.

During a heart to heart with Sergeant Naomi Thomas (Shantol Jackson), Neville explained that he feels it’s time to travel away from the island to find love.

But as he made his plans to leave, Commissioner Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington) revealed that Florence was heading back home.

Neville and Florence shared a brief reunion on video chat. He told her: “I am at the airport, I just had my leaving drinks. The Commissioner made a little speech, broadly complimentary, it’s the nicest he’s ever been to me. The only thing missing was you.”

“I am sorry,” Florence replied, but Neville interrupted: “No need to apologise, not your fault.”

After hanging up, Neville went to board his flight to Dominica.
