A FORMER Death in Paradise star has dropped a major hint about Ralf Little's replacement.

But as attention now turns to who will replace Ralf for the main role, one former star has dropped a big hint.
Ben Miller has said he wants Beeb execs to cast a female in the lead role - and backed comedian Miranda Hart for the gig.

Ben, 58, played DI Richard Poole in Death in Paradise between 2011 and 2014.
Miranda currently isn't in the running to take on the esteemed role according to the bookies, with Motherland's Diane Morgan the favourite with odds of 7/1.
Previously confirming his departure from the show, Ralf said: “My time on Saint Marie has come to an end – what an end!
“New adventures await Neville, and he got to sail away into the sunset with his best friend. Who knows what happens for them next!
“I want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who watched and supported the show when I arrived four and a half years ago.”
He added: “I can’t wait to see what happens next. It’s been the ride of a lifetime”.
