Kim Kardashian has been told to pull her socks up after her underwear range scored zero for green credentials and the welfare of workers.

The Skims shapewear has made Kim around £500million since launching in 2019. But industry monitor Remake – which ranks brands for their ecological and social justice impact – rated Skims last in every category it measures. Revealing its findings, the non-profit group claimed: “Skip the Skims, the brand scores a zero.”

It said in 2021, workers in Myanmar making Skims underwear claimed they were pressured to work unpaid overtime, facing verbal abuse and wage cuts if quotas were not met. Remake added: “All in all, Skims’ clear growth trajectory and utter lack of transparency contradicts its flimsy commitments to sustainability and accountability.”

Kim, 43 – said to be worth £1.3billion – plugs the range to her 4.6 million Instagram fans. She said ahead of its launch: “I knew I wasn’t alone in looking for the perfect shapewear and was inspired to turn my passion into something real.”

The range of bras, pants, socks and loungewear has been plugged by celebs including Love Island’s Zara McDermott and Siannise Fudge. Skims has been approached for comment.
