Anyone in need of a tech gadget upgrade may have this coming bank holiday weekend in mind to stock up on the flurry of deals. In the lead-up to the May 6 date we've seen UK retailers Currys, John Lewis, and Very all drop their prices on high-end devices, but Samsung's newest offer may just beat them all.

The Galaxy brand's products have already proven to be incredibly popular in the sales, as shoppers can currently get £200 knocked off the price of the Galaxy ZFlip5 smartphone range. TV fans, who pre-order a new 2024 AI device, will get a Galaxy S24 phone for free, and no you won't pay a penny extra for it.

Although the latest offer is a steer away from smartphones, Samsung's newest deal makes its Tab S8+ tablet one of the cheapest prices yet. If you're in need of a swanky new tablet, pasting in code SAMSUNGTABS8* at checkout will save you £300 on the 12.4-inch model.

Originally £999, the deal would bring the price down to £699 for its 128GB device, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a brand new SPen. While the newer Tab S9 range beats the S8+ model (only just) it's an incredibly cheaper price to pay considering it only launched at the end of 2022 - not to mention the Tab S9 Ultra starts at £1,199.

Anyone eager to hop on the deal will have to do so before May 31 2024, there's plenty of time to weigh up whether it's the right one for you but just be sure to save the end date, as once it's gone, it's gone. We saw similar on the swankier Tab S9 Ultra, in recent days Samsung handed out two free accessories with any purchase but the chance to get free Buds 2 Pro earbuds and a Galaxy Watch 4 ran out quickly.

If the Tab S9 Ultra sounds like a better fit for you - when it comes to tech specs and features we'd say the only mega difference is its bigger 14.6-inch screen size - you can cut as much as £450 off the price if you trade in. This could be something to bear in mind for tech fans keen to get their hands on the newest possible device.

The Tab S9Ultra is the biggest and speediest tablet in the brand's newest 2023 range so naturally users need to expect to pay a higher price for its ramped-up specs. Starting at £1,199 you pay the price for its bigger 14.6-inch screen, Dynamic AMOLED 2x display and a chunkier battery life.

Of course, anyone with an older tablet (of any brand) can make the most of Samsung's regular trade-in' deal, similar to Curry's 'cash-for-trash' recycle system where you get money off for old tech, this could drop the price of the TabS9 Ultra by up to £450 - which means you could pay £749 for the tablet and still get the £368 worth of freebies.

Its trade-in offer is one of the main reasons our tech team here at The Mirror often praises Samsung, as even on flagship devices like its S24 phone range, shoppers can get money off for handing in an old piece of tech - even if it is sometimes just £100.
