Scrolling through social media, there appears to be a new video every other week about a simple task everyone seems to get wrong – and this one is no different.
This time, people have been informed that they have been doing something as simple as opening bags of Haribo wrong. While this may come as a shock to some of you, you may be relieved to know that the correct was ensures no more fighting with the bag to get it open – and certainly no sweets bursting out all over the place.
Ana Antonje, a German lifestyle influencer, was left stunned when she spotted a video explaining that you can open the bags by peeling the strip off the back. Her jaw dropped and she rushed to the shop to grab a bag and put it to the test.

In the video, which has gained more than 2.4million likes, she was seen rushing up the supermarket aisle and grabbing a bag of Phantasia Haribos, which contains sweets shaped like jungle animals, dinosaurs and even robots.

"No way," she gasped. "I can't believe it. What did I do, my whole life?"
In the caption she added: "Don't tell me you KNEW that ???!!!" But it turns out, TikTok users were left just as stunned as her as they took to the comments to give their opinion.
One user said: "I've been opening Haribo wrong all these years! NO WAY," as another added: "My whole life is a lie." A third wrote: "I've been opening it like a crisp packet."
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "So all these manufacturers have been thinking about all these tiny, convenient tricks and NEVER informed us?"
However, others thought the hack didn't matter to them because they never plan on resealing their bags of Haribos anyway.
A viewer wrote: "Honestly...who reseals a bag of Haribo? They're scoffed in one sitting."
