The chain replied: "I am sorry but our prawn shell crisps have indeed been discontinued I'm afraid."

The prawn shell crisps were a hit with shoppers with one person even saying they tasted better than Skips - similar crisps made by leading brand.
The Redditor wrote: "I thought it was a stock issue but seems Tesco have stopped selling the Prawn shells.
"They were better than skips, in a giant bag. Gutted."
And another agreed saying: "They were so much better than skips, I’ve been looking for them coming back into Tesco."
And the Tesco snack even had the benefit of being gluten free.
Before they were discontinued a X user posted a picture of the prawn shells and wrote: "Anybody else really missed Skips since being gluten free?
"Sadly these and many alternatives contain gluten. Thankfully @Tesco prawn shells are #glutenfree!"
Tesco has stressed it regularly updates the range of products it sells in order to best meet the needs of customers.
