Bargain Hunt star Christina Trevanion has delighted her fans after issuing an update on her career on social media.

Earlier this year, the 43-year-old TV presenter and mother-of-two - who serves as an antiques expert and auctioneer on the cherished BBC show - took time out of her career following a health scare.

However, after posting a worrying picture from a hospital visit back in February, the star remained absent from social media, leaving fans fearing the worst.

However, Christina recently took the time out to reveal that all is well in her life and shared the exciting project she's been made a part of. The TV star managed to land a wonderful opportunity with her co-star pals and revealed she'd even toured Italy after being discharged from the hospital.

Christina sparked worry among her fans following her prolonged social media absence, but she has now put their minds at ease, after sharing what she has been up to outside her regular TV gig. On X, Christina revealed she has landed a new job with her pals Charlie Ross and Philip Serrell for the Antiques on Tour show, as she makes her stage debut later this month in Hoddesdon.

Fans were left delighted at the news. Taking to the platform X, one person commented: "Yes it’s definitely not sunny like that in Hoddesdon at the moment. We would have loved to see @Antiquesontour but can’t make that date. Hoping to see the show sometime in the future."

Another fan wrote: "Looking wonderful in the sunshine Christina." A third person chimed in: "You are my favourite antique expert looking fabulous." A fourth person added: "Stunning photos christina and you look so cool wearing those sunglasses and you are one very cool lady of all time and I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday my friend."

Earlier this year, fans were left concerned after Christina went absent from the series for a few weeks and then suddenly posted a snap straight from her hospital bed. She penned: "An unexpected hospital stay meant an unusual opportunity to catch up on some good reading. Safe to say I was not a patient patient… but thanks to the TLC of some incredible nurses (you know who you are!) I am now back in fine fettle.”
