A teaching assistant fell into trouble after a student accidentally drank from her vodka-filled bottle, mistaking it for a soft drink.
The incident happened when a male student from Morgan County Middle School in Georgia, US, pinched a Mountain Dew from the staff member's stash. It was later identified as belonging to 39-year-old Alexandra "Nicole" Ligon Lambert.
After taking a gulp, he quickly realised that the green label bottle contained something other than his expected soft drink. The student then threw out the drink and went to alert another teacher.

The teacher was fired from the Morgan County Middle School in Georgia, US (Morgan County Middle School/Facebook)That teacher then brought the matter to the principle's office on Thursday afternoon. Lambert was then confronted about the hidden spirit and eventually confessed to unintentionally bringing the alcohol to the school.

Police were called to the school at around 1.15pm. A subsequent breathalyser test confirmed Lambert to be three times over the state's drink-drive limit at 0.08 hitting a hefty 0.259. Due to her intoxicated state, she was barred from driving home and the police were called to investigate the matter further.
Authorities found an empty vodka-laced water bottle in the bin where the student had discarded it. Lambert faced the sobering reality of being charged with public drunkenness under city ordinance disorderly conduct before being shuttled to Morgan County Sheriff's Office Adult Detention Facility.
A message to parents and guardians of County Charter Schools students last week read: "The Middle School administration was informed today of a potential issue involving an employee's water bottle containing alcohol. Law enforcement was promptly notified and an investigation ensued.

"It was subsequently confirmed that alcohol was indeed present, leading to the immediate arrest of the employee by the Morgan County Sheriff's Office. As this is a personnel matter, we cannot provide further comments at this time, but we can confirm that the individual is no longer employed with our district.
"The safety of our staff and students is paramount, and we take all incidents seriously. We have zero tolerance for any behaviour that could jeopardize their well-being. We will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement and appreciate the support of the Morgan County Sheriff's Office."
Lamber was booked at the Morgan County Sheriff's Office Adult Detention Facility.
It comes as a teacher accused of "making out" with her 11-year-old student was branded an "attention seeker" and "selfie queen" by furious parents at the school where she taught. 24-year-old Madison Bergmann was suspended from River Crest Elementary School in Hudson, Wisconsin, after a boy's mum allegedly heard her child speaking to his teacher over the phone and found alleged texts between the pair.
Bergmann was charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault. She was released on a $25,000 signature bond. She was also placed on administrative leave and barred from contacting any district students, parents or staff.
