It's always worth keeping an eye on your rare coin collection.

Over the years, Royal Mint has launched a variety of pieces. Currently the Kew Gardens 50p coin is one of the most desirable designs out there. With just 210,000 in circulation, finding one of these coins can be hard.

Now if you want to try your luck at some fortune, a TikTok page revealed the coins you must look out for. The user, using the handle @coincollectingwizard, talked through the coins which could "make you a millionaire".

Since it was shared, the clip racked up more than 97,000 likes and thousands of shares. In the video, they listed four rare coins to keep your eyes on which could be lurking in your possession.

1p from 1933 – £130,000

According to the TikTok page, the rarity of this 1933 UK penny makes it highly sought after by collectors. Due to its scarcity and market value, owning this coin can make you "100% rich" and could easily sell for more than £100,000.

New pence 2p from 1983 – £1,500

The 1983 new pence 2p is considered rare due to a specific transition in the design of the coin. It was in the 80s when the Royal Mint began the process of changing the inscription from "new pence" to "two pence". Apparently if you find this coin in your collection, you could be looking at over £1,000.

Aquatics 50p swimming lines 1st edition – £2,000

If you find an aquatic 50p error coin with lines over the face, it could allegedly be worth a fortune.

The person said: "A small handful of this original design was put into circulation but it was then adapted very quickly to show the face above the water with so few of the original design out there. It's meant the coin's value has been pushed up significantly."

Kew Gardens 50p from 2009 in gold – £6,000

Everyone knows just how valuable a Kew Gardens 50p coin is, so imagine it in gold. According to the user, a gold proof of the coin recently sold for £6,800 at the Royal Mint's online auction.

The ultra rare version was estimated between £5,000 and £6,000 with a starting bid for the coin around the £4,000 region.

Since the video was shared, many people rushed to comment as one said: "I have had so many of those pennies before." While another added: "I have too much."

Need more reason to check your change? Recently a rare 50p coin sold for over £1,500 at an auction and you could have it in your wallets.

The rare coin was made to commemorate the 2021 Olympic Games in London and features the design of a swimmer. All in all, 29 different 50p designs were created, each featuring a different sport.
