Lawn-care experts say you can save your sodden lawn with a £1 garden fork.
Nick Wood, gardening expert at GardeningExpress exclusively gave Fabulous his five handy tips for fixing saturated soil.

A heavy duty hand fork with an easy grip handle and metal head is ideal for all of your gardening needs.
Nick said: "Aerating the soil is a great way to fix the issue caused by all of the rainfall we’ve had lately.
I'm a property expert - my guess for the cheapest time to buy a home this year"It’s essentially creating small holes in the soil to allow air flow, water and nutrients to reach the roots.
"Simply take a garden fork and poke holes throughout the soil.
"Ideally you want to do this a couple of days after rainfall so the soil is slightly moist, making it easier to create the holes."
Since it's been so wet lately, it's a good idea to pause your watering schedule for a while.
The chances are your plants and grass have had plenty of rain water.
"Avoid adding to the problem," advised Nick.
"Let the soil dry out naturally and resume watering when it’s dry."
Adding a layer of mulch is also a good way to absorb excess water.
Nick explained: "If your soil is heavily saturated with water add a layer of mulch to absorb some of the excess.
"Apply a generous layer around plants and on the soil surface.

Although the temperatures are set to rise, resist the temptation to get the lawnmower out just yet.
Wet and soggy grass should not be mowed until it has dried out.
Experts say mowing wet grass could have disastrous consequences, not just for your garden but the lawnmower too.
When grass is wet, the blades do not stand up straight, making it difficult to cut evenly, leaving random patches.
Depending on the layout of your garden you may be able to dig and create your own temporary drainage system.
