Rihanna looked stunning in a statement red dress just days after her mysterious absence from the Met Gala.
The singer, 36, was spotted on a sweet date night with partner A$AP Rocky in New York City on Sunday, and she made sure she was the centre of attention as she rocked a jaw-dropping ensemble. Rihanna opted for a red Comme des Garçons t-shirt, that was emblazoned with the name of the fashion house in white letters, and also showed off her killer pins as she layered the top over a red dress with a thigh high split.
The Umbrella hitmaker accessorised her eye-catching outfit with red sheer opera gloves, bedazzled wraparound sunglasses and a black Gucci horseshoe purse, and finished off the look with a bright red lip and crystal-embellished black sandals. The Fenty Beauty founder also kept her blonde locks, which she debuted earlier this month, and was accompanied by her rapper boyfriend, who smiled adoringly at the award-winning singer as they enjoyed a night away from their two children.

The couple spent Mother’s Day together with their two children, RZA, 2, and Riot, who was born last year, and Rihanna and Rocky have been spotted out and about on date nights in NYC just days after the singer disappointed fans by failing to attend the Met Gala. She was expected to make her long-awaited return to the prestigious fashion event last week, but was absent, leaving fans devastated. According to multiple outlets, the mother-of-two missed the bash as she came down with the flu, and was unable to attend.
Rihanna used a budget Boots foundation to achieve 'flawless' Golden Globes lookIn the run up to the Met, she teased details of her outfit, and revealed it was going to be a “very simple” ensemble that would focus on her glamorous look. “I think it's gonna come down to what my make-up and what my hair is going to do. We want to play with that,” she told Extra. Rihanna was then pictured the weekend before the Met with baby pink hair, which fuelled speculation that would form part of her look for the fashion fundraiser, as the theme was Garden of Time.
Rihanna recently spoke about her love for fashion, and said she has started encouraging her two sons to love clothes by dressing them like their rapper dad. “When I dress them, I always try to dress them like Rocky. Because I always envision dressing a girl, right? We all do as women, like, ‘Oh, I’m going to dress her in these cute little things,’ but then you get sons and you’re like, ‘What do I do?’ and I was like, ‘You know what, I have the biggest hack - their dad,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
