An explorer has discovered a graveyard for classic cars, full of abandoned and dilapidated vehicles that could be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Urban explorer Tokyo Matilda uncovered the treasure trove, any petrol head's dream, which is full of once state of the art vintage automobiles including a Daimler, Triumphs, an MG, a Morris Minor and even a fire truck. Due to the rareness of some of the cars she discovered and their condition, Tokyo also a motorhead herself, believes the collection could be worth a whopping £200,000.

Some of these classic vehicles, now reclaimed back into nature, date back to the 1950s and have been largely reclaimed by nature. Among the discoveries pictured are a 1984 Dennis SS135 Fire Engine and two vintage Triumphs, including a 1971 Triumph GT6 valued at around £20K. Many vehicles, with road tax expired in 1995, are scattered across the woods, some sheltered in dilapidated sheds.

Left in an undisclosed location in Japan, it is unclear from the images why or by who the cars have been abandoned by or whether they still belong to anyone. Tokyo, 20, a YouTuber, from Yorkshire told Luxury Auto News: "I love cars and have been a mechanic with my grandad and dad since I was a kid so it was a dream come true.

"I always take the pictures and pass them onto my grandad as he doesn't have social media. That's the main reason I started doing car photography. Found it by searching on maps for overcrowded woodlands and noticed all the cars in half fallen down sheds."

She added: Some of these vehicles date back to the 1950s and many haven't been used or on the road since the early 80s. For every set of 10 cars they were protected by shed-like structures. But due to being neglected and forgotten the majority have fallen in on the cars now."
