Brielly said that the first thing making your home look cheap is flat-pack Ikea furniture.
She advised using Facebook Marketplace to find second hand and vintage furniture instead.
The interior designer explained: "For the same budget you can get items that are way more premium, and bring interest to your space.

Brielly said that mass-produced art is another thing that is making your home look cheap.
She said: "Is it technically art? Yes.
Is it giving expensive? No.
3.Small rugs
Brielly also isn't a fan of rugs that are too small.
She said they make rooms look non-cohesive and as though the design of the room hasn't been thought out properly.
4.Furniture sets
The interior designer is not a fan of furniture sets.
She said: "I will not be making further comment on this".
5. Empty alcohol bottles as decor
Brielly said that she was guilty of using empty alcohol bottles as decoration when she was 18, but is now not a fan of the trend.
She said they look tacky, and you should get rid of them.
Brielly's video, which was posted under the username @briellynturton, has likely struck a chord with many people, as it has racked up over 1 million views on the video-sharing platform.
